Biography Michael L. Roane
Prior to joining JE Dunn, Michael worked in executive level positions in Human Resources for Spartech Corporation, Greif Corporation, Owens and Minor and Philip Morris Cos. Notable is his 10 years as Senior Vice President for Greif Inc., a $3 billion global manufacturer of steel, fibre and plastic industrial drums he directed talent acquisition initiatives which resulted in the hiring of several senior executives to include the past CEO. Under Michael’s HR leadership, Greif grew from a $300 million regional company to over a $3 billion global manufacturer with operations in over 20 countries.
In his past role at JEDunn Michael lead a team of HR professionals committed to become strategic partners in building JE Dunn’s businesses by maximizing the value of human capital and aligning it with company initiatives, values, strategies and the needs of all stakeholders.
Michael is involved in a variety of community activities to include a Board member for Operation Breakthrough, serves on the executive Committee of the Foundation Board for Metropolitan Community College, Board Chair for Kansas City Teacher Residency and KU Edwards Workforce Advisory Group, is an advisor with Principals Connect, Co-chaired of the Human Capital Workgroup for KC Rising, and Co- chaired the Steering and Implementation Committee for KC Scholars.
Michael is an avid golfer, and lives in Leawood, Kansas with his wife Chris Uithoven.

Biography J. Beto Lopez
In 2017 Beto was successfully elected as a city council member in the city of Lee’s Summit and was appointed as Mayor Pro-Tempore. Throughout his entire professional career, Beto has felt a duty to give back to the community and has served on numerous volunteer boards and commissions. These include;
- United Way 2014 & 2015 Campaign – Cabinet member
- Board of Trustees Member – Donnelly College
- Planning Commission Member – City of Lee’s Summit
- Executive Board Committee Member – Guadalupe Educations Systems
- Kansas City Brownfield’s Commission – City of Kansas City, MO
- Parish Council Member – St. Marks Catholic Parish & SH Guadalupe Parish
- Manager – Coach: Kansas City Softball Academy, Girls Competitive Fast Pitch Softball.
- Appointed commissioner, Jackson County Sports Complex Authority – September, 2004 to July, 2012
- Gubernatorial As Chairman (2010-2012), I had direct input in the drafting and implementation of the “Fair Share Agreement” prepared for the $600 Million renovation of both Kauffman and Arrowhead Stadiums
- President Emeritus – Board of Directors, Guadalupe Centers. 2011-2013
- Board Member – Overland Bancorp, parent company of Bank of Belton. January 2006 to January 2012
Beto is married to Venessa Maxwell-Lopez who is a local practicing attorney and together have raised 3 daughters currently in college (Michaela, KU), (Celena, Northwest MO St.), and (Sophia, William Jewell). In his free time, Beto enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, attending college sporting events, playing golf, and he is a die-hard Royals and Chiefs fan.
