Men of Color Applicants Initiative

KC Scholars Community/High School Partners Workshop

Men of Color Applicants Initiative

KC Scholars has committed to increasing the number of male applicants for our 2021 scholarship, particularly Male Students of Color. Thank you for joining us in this important effort and for making a commitment to support this important effort. Your role will be to share the KC Scholars scholarship opportunity, follow up with the students you influence and/or assist your students by hosting virtual Application Workshops facilitated by KC Scholars staff and Writing Workshops to assist students with developing their personal statements.

To equip you with the tools and training necessary to assist students during the application cycle which runs from January 1 – February 26, 2021, KC Scholars will host 5 workshops during the month of November. Your efforts are critical for engaging students at the point of application.  During these sessions we will review the 2021 Application Digital Toolkit and share ways in which you can assist and encourage students to apply. This is a resource-rich repository of marketing and communication tools including short, step-by-step instructional videos that explain the KC Scholars application process.

Please register here for one of the scheduled dates below:

  • Wednesday, November 11 – 2:30pm-3:30pm
  • Saturday, November 14, 12pm-1pm
  • Monday, November 16 – 12pm-1pm
