ABOUT THE ROLE

Reports to: Sr. Director of Employer Network

Location: Kansas City, MO

Remote or Hybrid

Status: Exempt, Full-time

Salary: Annual salary based on experience

Operating hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST

 

Key Performance Indicators:

    • Ensure 80% of scholars secure a job shadow, internship, and professional development experience.
    • Ensure 50% of scholars have completed a career interest assessment and career plan by the junior year of high school and college.
    • Ensure scholars complete job readiness training at each level of programming.
    • Identification of 5-7 high quality training/credentialing partners for each of our four industry priorities (healthcare, construction trades, manufacturing and information technology.)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Opportunity Creation (40%):

    • Work with the Employee Engagement Managers to build new strategic partnerships that yield new career opportunities.
    • Support internship programs for high school, collegiate and adult learners.
    • Support high demand job sectors by Supporting Scholars through the job search, selection, and employment processes.
    • Provide coaching and professional development to Scholars in preparation to enter the workforce through our Employer Partnership Program.

 

Scholar Support (30%):

    • Work closely with scholar advocates and coaches to connect scholars with career opportunities.
    • Work closely with the Scholar support services team to relay the needs of scholars.
    • Have direct interaction with scholars to provide necessary guidance.

 

Coordination (15%):

    • Coordinate and facilitate the connections between scholar and employer including but not limited to scheduling initial interviews, office detail set ups, tracking candidate licensing, etc.
    • Assist in campus career fairs, community events, etc. as needed.

 

Research & Data Management (10%):

    • Be aware of the latest workforce and high demand sector data.
    • Connect relevant internal KC Scholars data to employers and vice versa.
    • Conduct weekly report outs of progress as well as conduct cumulative report outs when needed.
    • Update Scholar and employer records in our CRM system as needed and appropriate for proper tracking of progress.

 

Misc (5%)

  • Occasional other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Account Management, Communications or Human Resources.

Work Experience:

    • At least three years of related work experience in business, recruitment, human resources, corporate, or education required.
    • Three years of project planning and management required.

Physical requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
    • Ability to work in an office and remote environment.
    • Ability to travel from and to work and occasionally to regional sites as the organization grows.
    • Ability to interact with others via technology, face-to-face and collectively.
