COLLEGE STUDENT RESOURCES

  • Task to Complete Now
    • Fall Enrollment Details Form – Due May 30
  • KC Scholars Program Guidelines remain in effect. Scholars are required to meet Guidelines to remain eligible for scholarship renewal:
    • Scholars must earn an annual 2.0 GPA. We are aware some campuses may be changing to “pass/fail” options or have given you the option to take an “incomplete”. For most campuses, P/F will not have an associated GPA so will not impact your GPA; you need to check on this at your individual campus as it may be different campus to campus.
    • Scholars must earn a minimum of 24 credit hours over the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters. We understand that these are not normal times and not normal procedures. If you do not meet Program Guidelines, you will need to submit an Appeal Form beginning May 1. We have always had an appeal process in place, so this is normal procedure.
  • Emergency Funds –  If you have encountered unexpected financial hardships that would interrupt your academic progress this semester; reach to your institution, they may be able to help. KC Scholars does not offer emergency funding however your institution does!
    • The type of assistance available varies by institutions but some institutions have established emergency grant aid, emergency loans, and on-campus food pantries.
    • Your institution may have already contacted you by email on how to access these resources. If not, please connect with your campus financial aid office for details specific to your institution.
  • Community Resources – a list of resources for food and utility assistance, employment opportunities, and more. We want you to utilize the resources should you need them.
    • Please refer to scholar resources for resources in the Kansas City community. We will continue to update it as more resources are available.
